Berrick Barnes
Was first selected for the Wallabies squad in 2007, making his debut off the bench against Japan and scoring two tries. With 24 hours notice, he was called into the starting line-up against Wales where he set up a try and kicked a drop goal in an impressive performance, and with Stephen Larkham unfit for selection, he started against Fiji and England. Barnes made his Reds debut in Super 14 in the first match of the 2006 season, and is a young player to watch for the future.
2005 Joined the Brisbane Broncos as an eighteen-year old and played nine First Grade matches in his only season in the NRL.
2006 Switched to rugby to join the Queensland Reds where he made his debut in the opening match of the season against the Waratahs at Suncorp Stadium. In 11 matches he scored three tries as well as two conversions and two penalties as a back-up goal kicker.
2007 Played in all but one of the Reds Super 14 matches after recovering from an off-season shoulder reconstruction. Selected in the Wallabies Rugby World Cup squad, making his debut off the bench against Japan and scoring two tries.
