Irish skipper Brian O'Driscoll scored twice and then hobbled off injured as Leinster inflicted a sixth defeat in eight games for struggling English club Wasps in Heineken Cup action over the weekend.

Leinster ran in six tries all told to claim a valuable bonus point victory and grab a stranglehold on Pool Two of the European competition.

London Wasps now face a must-win visit to Edinburgh where they will look to get their campaign back on track.

Wallabies flanker Rocky Elsom was among four Leinster players to cross for tries in the second half, the others coming from Luke Fitzgerald, Felipe Contepomi, who kicked 11 points, and Rob Kearney.
