Pacific Islanders coach Ilivasi Tabua has named a good mix of players from the three nations for their end of year tour north where they will play tests against England, France and Italy.

Tabua named a 28-man squad to for the tour with many of the players familiar after their exploits at last year's World Cup.

"This squad represents the very best of players in Fiji, Samoa and Tonga but will blend together with pride to represent the combined side," said Tabua, who played for both Australia and Fiji and now coaches Fiji.

This is the third tour for the combined squad. In 2004 matches were played against Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in Australia and in 2006 the side toured Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Tabua will be assisted by two former internationals - Quddus Fielea (Tonga) will help with the backs and Peter Fatialofa (Samoa) will help the forwards .

Former Fijian Prime Minister and former prop Sitiveni Rabuka has been named manager of the tour.

The Islanders will play tests against England (November 8), France (November 15) and Italy (November 22).
