Loose forward Stephen Hoiles has re-signed with the Australian Rugby Union (ARU) until after 2010, the ARU said on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old's contract was due to expire at the end of this year but he has signed for another two years with the aim of earning more test caps as a starter.
Hoiles played all 12 of the Wallabies' tests last year, but started in only two.
"I didn't really bother about looking overseas," Hoiles said in an ARU statement. "There is so much more I want to achieve here in Australia, both provincially and at the international level.
"While I played every test last season, it was not a huge amount of game time. I want to start as many tests as I can this year. I want to play as much as possible.
"I feel as though I'm yet to reach my peak."
